Our rescue relies completely on the generosity of donors, foster families, and adopters. We are a 501c3 non-profit, foster based operation. Your donations are not only tax deductible, but help save the lives of bloodhounds up and down the west coast.
All of the dogs in our care receive a high quality diet, daily supplements (if needed), and veterinary care. Once the dogs have settled into a foster home, they receive medical evaluation, spay/neuter, fecal/heartworm testing, microchip, and deworming. Many of the dogs who come into our rescue have mild to severe medical needs that require immediate attention. The average cost for a bloodhound in rescue is $700, but the medical needs can escalate into the thousands depending the dog's condition.
